Women's Program
We offer women in crisis a safe place where recovery and real help can happen. Healing occurs in a grace filled environment through Jesus Christ. Our 7-12 month program equips women to receive his grace, begin walking in His identity and lead productive lives.

Every Single Person Matters

Metro Hope’s program for women and, mothers with children, opened in 2006 and serves up to 20 women and 24 children in a 7-12 month program. Unique to Metro Hope, our case coordinators specialize in helping to advance the process of reunification for women on probation/parole or who have an open Child Protection Services case.

Program Details

Who we are

Metro Hope is a Christ-centered, long-term, residential recovery program in Minneapolis for women. We are not a licensed treatment facility.

Who we Serve

Metro Hope accepts women with children, women seeking reunification or in the process of reuniting with their children, pregnant women, and women without children. Women must be at least 18-years-old, and children must be age ten and under.  We serve those looking to gain freedom from life-controlling issues, primarily substance abuse. We have a maximum capacity of 20 women and 24 children. Each woman lives in her own, single room.

What we do

We believe that Christ is the only way to gain true freedom and healing, therefore, we use a Bible-based approach in dealing with addiction and other life-controlling issues. We provide healing and recovery programming that is grounded in Biblical principles. We are a multi-denominational organization.

Funding

Metro Hope is funded through GRH (Group Residential Housing) and private donations. Accordingly, those receiving MFIP benefits are expected by the state to pay a portion of their cash toward their stay here. Women on SSI/SSDI will be considered self-paying and arrangements will be made for a specific contribution amount.  Unfortunately, Metro Hope cannot receive payment from insurance or Rule 25 at this time.

Applying to Metro Hope's Women and Children's Programs

Our application process consists of three interviews: two over the phone and one in person. The first interview goes over what could be “deal breakers” for potential residents (i.e. no cell phone, no car, no boyfriends…). After this, the intake coordinator will contact the person and schedule a more in-depth face to face interview to determine acceptance into the program.

Women should call 612-843-5667 to apply. Referrals are not needed. If a woman is incarcerated, she can apply through the mail by writing a brief letter about herself or by filling out an application and sending it to:
